All, Happy New Year 2012. As Troop 649 moves into the New Year, we have a transition within the Troop. As we have seen coming for a while, Chris Denny is going to pass the baton of Scoutmaster to Tom Kube. As you know, Chris and Louie are balancing both the Troop and Patrick's budding baseball career and at this time Patrick's opportunities are deservedly going to require priority. As such, so as not to short change the Troop and Scouts, Chris is passing the baton to Tom Kube who will transition from his Assistant Scoutmaster role to Scoutmaster. As you will see in the accompanying letters, Chris will remain in the Troop and continue to facilitate our outdoor program, including development of a Venture program. Please join me and the Parent Committee in extending a true, heart-felt, sincere, well deserved "thank you" and expression of appreciation to Chris for his past and continuing service to the Troop and Scouts. Similarly, please join the Parent Committee, as well as Dick Lambert and our CCOV Chartered Organization in welcoming and supporting Tom Kube in his new role of leading the Troop. As you know Tom has unofficially been acting as Co-Scoutmaster for a while now and overall this will be a seamless transition.
