Scout Leadership Positions

  • Junior Assistant Scoutmaster - elected by the Scouts
  • Senior Patrol - elected by the Scouts
    • Assistant Senior Patrol Leader(s) - elected by the Scouts
      • Patrol Leader(s) - elected by the Scouts
        • Assistant Patrol Leader(s) - elected by the Patrol Leaders
  • Troop Guide/Instructor - elected by the Scouts
  • Chaplain's Aide - elected by the Scouts
  • Historian - elected by the Scouts
  • Quartermaster - elected by the Scouts
  • Scribe - elected by the Scouts

Leadership roles also exist at the patrol level: Assistant Patrol Leader, Grub Master, and Patrol Quartermaster are examples. Elections are held annually during our Troop Junior Leadership Training conducted at the Council’s Heard Pueblo facility.

Although the boys do run the Troop, we need to have adults involved in many capacities in order to provide an effective environment.  Our success requires all parents assist in the operation of the Troop.
